Last night I walked into a bar. There were 2 other customers in the room. One was on his computer with his back to the television, and the other was reading a Kindle. So, I asked a bartender if we could change the TV channel from Monday Night Football to CNBC. I know this is sacrilegious to some people, please don't get too angry, this wasn't a sports bar, rather it was a hotel bar. (Before you are too impressed by my CNBC request, there was an interesting special on CNBC with
Warren Buffet and Bill Gates giving their words of wisdom to MBA Students from Columbia University).
When I asked the bartender if we could change the channel, he replied, "They prefer we watch football." I inferred "they" to be management. So I replied with: "Really, I'm surprised
they prefer we watch football, not watch what the customers requests?!?"
Who do you think wanted to watch football? The bartender or the management?
