I am in Vegas again, and had a frightening realization last night. I am here for 2 days and 2 nights, and brought 7 pairs of shoes (oh my).
I can already imagine a certain someone's father rolling his eyes, sighing, and wondering if he should ever read this blog again.
In truth, I am embarrassed that there are 7 pairs... but which to cut?
For my two days of work, I have 2 different suits (one trouser style and one skirt) and they require 2 completely different styles of shoes, (pairs 1 and 2). On the second day, I don't want to wear four-inch heels through the airport, so I have a pair to wear with my skirt suit that is just for the airport (pair 3). I have a pair of casual shoes for wearing out at night with a dress (4). I have the boots I wore on the way here (5). Trainers for working-out (6). And flip flops (7) because hotel carpets gross me out. Too add to my embarrassment, 5 of the above 7 shoes are black.
So I ask you... which to cut? And who can relate?
And in case you are wondering - yes, my suitcase can hold more than 7 pairs of shoes with lots of extra room for clothes.

Do not cut any of those shoes....they all make sense and in fact you may have been missing your gladiators for the strip pole.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree. I mean...you're in VEGAS, a town that requires a fairly flexible wardrobe. Who knows where the night will take you, and which shoes will be required??
ReplyDeleteWho do you think you are kidding? Hotel carpets gross you out? ALL carpet grosses you out.
ReplyDeleteWhat, no crocs?
ReplyDeleteGet a smaller suitcase. The "problem" will solve itself.
8) (those are supposed to be rolling eyes)
Sigh.
Megs I am with you 100%, in fact I think you did well - I would have increased that number probably with a pair of flat black boots, brown too (becuase you never know) and my old faithfuls. Motto number 1 - you never know, if in doubt pack more
ReplyDeleteI can so relate - and commend you for sticking to one primary color, so that you need minimum handbags to go with them. Someone we both know used to truly roll his eyes at the blue, brown, and black purses I would also pack! - Loni
