Summer in a Cup

Last week I met an Australian couple who tried their first margarita – both were in their 50’s and had never sampled this creation that Americans love so much.

When we ordered ours, the Ausie man turned around and cried out: “Are you sure you want that?!?” We said “Yes, Absolutely!” (Thinking he must be insane!). He then inquired with amazement: “you’ve had them before?” It was as if we were sampling juice from an ancient civilization.

He simply couldn’t understand why anyone would want all that lime juice and salt! When you put it like that… it does sound terrible. But what can I say; to me it is summer in a cup.
