Chasing The Sun

Yesterday was the Autumnal Equinox and I was lucky enough to be heading west on an airplane during sunset. I presume it was because of the equinox, but when I left Chicago at 6:30 pm CDT the sun was setting, and at 8:15 pm PDT (10:15 pm CDT) it was still setting just before I landed in San Francisco. I was able to watch a glorious sunset for almost four hours – how awesome is that? Sadly, it didn’t occur to me to take a picture until the very end of the flight, but here it is from the view from my airplane seat. What can I say… Red sky at night, Fliers delight!
